2021 CFDA Fashion Awards
The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) owns and organizes the Fashion Calendar and official New York Fashion Week schedule since 2014. The association promotes American designers in the global economy.
Currently, about 450 fashion and accessories designers are affiliated with the organization, developing future American design talent through scholarships and resources in high schools, colleges, and post-graduate schools.
Based in Lower Manhattan (Bayard–Condict Building) the CFDA also provides funding and business opportunities for working designers. Through the CFDA Foundation, the organization supports charitable causes. The annual CFDA Fashion Awards to represent an additional initiative by the not-for-profit trade association. The next edition is taking place on November 10 in the Seagram Building on New York’s Park Avenue.
And this year’s host is Emily Blunt. The Golden Globe Award winner in her role as host for the 2021 CFDA Fashion Award follows in the footsteps of Tracee Ellis Ross and Seth Meyers. Blunt impressed her audience with memorable performances in such films as The Devil Wears Prada (as Emily Charlton in 2006), The Young Victoria (2009), Into the Woods (2014), Edge of Tomorrow (2014), The Girl on the Train (2016), A Quiet Place (2018), and Mary Poppins Returns (2018).
