I have to say that everything in my life has happened because of the grace of God.  I owe everything to Him and want to seek Him in every aspect of my life.  I want to make an impact on my generation for the Kingdom of Christ.

I started playing the guitar in the fourth grade.  When I first saw guitars played in my church, I knew I wanted to play.  Things finally worked out and I saved enough money for my first guitar.  I started reading chord charts and took off from there.  I have always loved music and it has always been an important part of my life.  I started playing on worship team when I was 16 years old.  I started off playing guitar and have learned that music should be for the Lord and that all talent should be used for the glory of the Lord.  I am now 18 years old and currently lead worship for Mitchell Berean Church and lead Jr. High and Sr. High worship teams.  I have been involved in choir all through high school and am currently planning on majoring in music in college.

I have always had a knowledge of God.  I grew up in a loving home where I was trained in the Word.  I attended Community Christian School from Pre-School through the 8th Grade.  I was saved in the second grade and had my fire insurance.  My parents got a divorce when I was in the 5th grade.  It was then that I had my first encounter with God.  I really started asking God questions and started putting my trust in Him every day.  I grew with the help of Chris Geary and my brother Daniel.  They showed me and continue to show me how Godly men are supposed to live.  I entered high school and found a whole new world I had never known.  I started getting sucked into some of the ways of the world and needed change.  I had a skiing accident my freshman year and was in the hospital for two weeks with a severe head trauma.  It was at that point that I realized I wasn’t invincible and that I needed to live every day for God.  This lasted a while until I started hanging out with the wrong crowd again.  I was highly involved in cross-country and spent the whole summer with guys from the team.  I began smoking pot and ignoring my call.  I remember the summer very well because it was the summer that changed my life.  My Mom and family had no idea that I was involved in the things I was and they were constantly reminding me to live Godly.

"I came to a point where I had to decide to live for the world or for the Kingdom of Christ."
"I remember getting on my knees and crying out to God."

"I chose that day to live for the Lord and to commit all of my ways to Him."

"The road hasn’t been easy and I struggle daily."

"I have learned to fully trust God and that He is in control."

My youth pastor and senior pastor have been excellent mentors and continually encourage me to live Godly.  My Mom and Daniel have been excellent examples of Godliness.  All of my friends are great encouragers and accountability partners.

I remember praying during the summer of my sophomore year that God would organize a group of musicians who all have the goal of glorifying the Lord and who also get along like family.  Needle’s Eye is an answer to that prayer in every aspect.  The band’s goals are simply to reach the unsaved for Christ and to play for the Kingdom of Christ.  I am excited for what lies ahead and for what God has in store.

For His Glory
